Data Recovery Information Perform backups on secondary systems only: Restoring backups on the affected system should never be attempted, always restore backups to a system other than the one that is affected.  Writing/Reading information to the disks of the failed RAID array can circumvent the RAID data recovery process.

Data Recovery Information Use only new replacement disks: When attempting to rebuild an array, always use brand new disks as a replacement.  If you rebuild a RAID array with a drive that was part of a previous RAID system; RAID configuration data may be overwritten causing corruption of the array itself.
